Peradam is an artist-led business run by Jennifer Kyte from her studio at Silk Mill Studios in Frome.
I have a 1st Class BA (Hons) in Photography from The Arts Institute at Bournemouth. This was where I was introduced to giclee printing and digital imaging, first in the darkroom and then in the digital suite. My first job after graduating was at Scott Polar Research Institute at Cambridge University, digitising their collection of polar photography.
In 2015 I set up Mount Art Services with my partner, Simon (another AIB Photography graduate), specialising in fine art reproduction and design for local and national galleries, artists and writers.
My personal practice incorporates photography, writing, curation, and collaboration, often rooted in memory, and cultural heritage. Read more here.
Sustainability
I grew up in a village near Stourhead, surrounded by nature. My earliest memories are playing in leafy dens, listening to birdsong, and hiding in knee-high flower meadows. I want future generations to experience the same wonder of nature that I did as a child. That can only happen if we work hard now to protect what we have.
Giclee printing is an archival process, creating prints that are lightfast and designed to last for decades, even centuries when cared for properly. The prints that I make are not meant as throwaway consumables, they are works of art that contribute to our visual culture.
I offer a range of the most environmentally friendly giclee papers available, the best two being Hahnemühle Hemp, made of 60% hemp and 40% cotton fibres, and the beautifully delicate Awagami Inbe Thin washi paper - made using hemp and mulberry fibres blended with pure mountain water.

My core studio days are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 10:30am-5pm, and Fridays 10:30am-12:30pm. But I do sometimes have to shift things around or pop out, so the only way to guarantee I will be in when you come is to book an appointment.
Contact me or book an appointment.
As a general rule I try to reserve Mondays and Friday afternoons as closed studio days for my own art practice. I rarely work over the weekend.
I can be flexible if arranged in advance.

Find me at Studio 3 The Silk Mill, Saxonvale, Frome, BA11 1PT.
When you get to the Silk Mill go to the studios entrance, press “3” on the main mill intercom and it will call me. (call 07404 909404 if this doesn’t work, it’s occasionally temperamental)
Car parks: there’s a small car park at the Silk Mill (though the big green gates opposite the French antique cafe). If you luck upon a space you will need to borrow a visitor parking docket from me. If there are no spaces, there’s two public car parks within a 3 minute walking distance, one near the Bennett Centre, and the other opposite M&S.
